Wedding Ceremony Pianist

Whether you are getting married in a garden, in a church, on the beach, or at your reception site, beautiful piano music can enhance your most memorable moment.  Ms. Torry will work with you to put together a personalized and complete wedding ceremony music program on piano that suits your personal style.  You can be assured that a beautiful program will be prepared for you with your individual tastes and type of service in mind.

Our wedding ceremony music package includes an optional client meeting or conference call to select the pieces, as well as performance on your wedding day.  Programs include:  a 30-minute prelude; processional music for grandparents, parents, and the bridal party; bride’s entrance music; unity candle or prayer interludes; recessional; and postlude.  Traditional or contemporary selections can be incorporated.  Catholic mass music is not included.  Ms. Torry can add-on up to two vocal selections, accompanied by herself on piano, for an additional charge.  Attendance at your wedding rehearsal, and rehearsals with other vocalists or musicians, are additional.  Getting married outside or at a facility that doesn’t have a piano? No problem – we will bring our own professional digital stage piano.

Like a well-placed floral display or a stunning event location, music can enhance and distinguish any event.  Consider piano music as a lovely backdrop for your wedding cocktail hour, brunch or luncheon, retirement dinner, anniversary celebration, birthday party, holiday party, or charity gala.  The piano can also add an elegant touch to parties in your home, especially around the holidays.

Your favorite songs can be incorporated with a wonderful mix of timeless standards and classics; songs by popular artists; contemporary ballads, and hit love songs from movies and Broadway shows (as well as holiday music if applicable).  Musical selections will reflect the elements of your special event, including the event type, ambiance, location, your audience, and theme (if applicable).  The result is special music that contributes to making your event a most memorable occasion. No piano in your cocktail party room or location? No problem – we will bring our own professional digital stage piano.

Cynthia A. Torry, Piano Stylist

Ms. Cindy Torry, Professional Bridal Consultant™ and Owner of Torry Events LLC, is an experienced piano stylist of 30 years. For almost 10 years, she has worked with brides and non-profit organizations to develop and provide personalized musical programs on piano for their wedding ceremonies, cocktail receptions, and special events.  She has also served as the piano accompanist for the Mahwah Ramapo Ridge School and Mahwah High School concert choirs, as well as an interim musical director for the Ramapo Reformed Church in Mahwah, NJ. In high school, Cindy earned the title of first runner-up Bergen County Junior Miss in the New Jersey Division of America's Junior Miss Program by earning top place in the talent competition. She was also a musical performance finalist in the Uncle Floyd Show Talent Search.

Special Notes

• Since your musical program is customized and prepared in advance to suit the occasion, I regret that I am unable to take requests at your event. 
• If an acoustic piano in good working order can be made available by your event venue in the room where your event will be held, that piano will be used. 
• For outdoor events or venues with no piano, arrangements can be made in advance for me to bring my own professional digital stage piano and amplifier. A minor add-on fee will apply.
• Other musicians are responsible for bringing their own musical equipment and speaker systems.
• Torry Events offers a flat rate for wedding ceremony music and an hourly rate for cocktail music. 
• Participation in your wedding rehearsal, vocal music, and additional music rehearsals with other vocalists or musicians are optional services and are offered for an additional fee.
• For regular travel to an event or rehearsal over 90 minutes from Hewitt, NJ, a surcharge of $75/hour will apply. This surcharge will not apply to piano jobs at the “Jersey Shore” on weekends only.
